Magicnessity and Flutage touring the UK until 2nd July

The Very Magic Flute has begun it’s madcap UK tour, with 3 sold out performances at the Pleasance London and The Mill Studio Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford. And we’ve seen friends in schools in Preston, Lancaster, Haywards Heath and St Albans. A whirlwind of puppets, tricks, music and silliness, we are enjoying a fun and funny travelling extravaganza. Do check out THE SHOWS page, and come and see us…there’s a cut out model theatre programme, designed by genius David Shenton, awaiting you…

Signs of the Time project receives Arts Council England funding.

We are so pleased to announce that we have been awarded the funding for ‘Signs of the Time’. So as well as appointing a new Deaf Associate Artist, we will be creating ‘Rapunzel and her Witch’, touring mid Nov 26- Dec 24th  2016 for the Christmas season, and then the wonderful musical ‘Oliver in the Overworld’  will be opening 8th April next year. Dancing is occurring all over the Kat office!

Our Artistic Director wins (another) award…

Kinny was delighted this month to receive the Towergate Care Award 2016 for an Outstanding Contribution to the Education Sector. He’s looking to get a bigger mantelpiece…

The winter tour is more fun than you can shake a TROLL at and suddenly Don Quixote is looking at us

As the daft and fun tour of The Singing Ringing Tree continues to garner excellent reviews, we are very pleased to announce that we have received a Research and Development grant from Arts Council England to be creative around ideas on a new piece of theatre about the great Spanish hidalgo Don Quixote de La Mancha. Kinny will be working for an intensive week with Tony Lidington of the brilliant Promenade Promotions  (Click on the name there) to see if this show will fly to the necessary extremes…more to be told!

The Singing Ringing Tree is blooming and ready

The new tour of The Singing Ringing Tree begins next week, and the company are in the final preparations for the technical rehearsals at The Curve in jolly Leicester. We will only be there for a day, so much has to be sorted with lights courtesy of our amazing Lighting Designer David Phillips, and our equally astonishing show Designer Chris de Wilde. We will return to Leicester soon though, to play The Attenborough Arts Centre at 3.00 pm on Sunday 29th, but before then we traverse the kingdom in the Kat-Van visiting schools and a few specially chosen venues. Have a look at the SHOWS page, and come along for some Krazy Kat fun!

The Singing Ringing Tree Tour in November and December is now fully booked!

Much joy, here in the Kat office, as the final date for our next extravaganza is booked into the bulging diary. Do check out the SHOWS page, pick your nearest venue, and come and see a delightful re-telling of this classic and funny German fable. And make sure you sign and say “HI” to the cast after the show…
